Join stand-up comedians (and others) from DC and elsewhere in drawing media attention to the denial of voting rights for the 700k+ citizens of the nation's capital.
DC residents have been denied the basic right to have representation in Congress for so long, that today there is practically no mention in the media, of this maddening injustice. It is considered old news; nothing about which to get excited.
So it's time to say, "NO MORE"! This fight needs to get highly visible and loud!!
Our goal is to get enough media attention to force politicians to address DC Statehood publicly, in interviews, town halls, and debates. We need this to move from a local problem to a national issue. Those of us who believe in the true spirit of America and the American Way KNOW denying US citizens the right to participate in representative democracy is wrong!
So we're asking the comedy community, entertainers of all types, businesses, politicians and everyone else to join this non-partisan effort to help their fellow Americans escape an injustice that impacts us all.
